A ceremony was held at the Government building of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina to present awards and cash prizes to distinguished athletes, coaches, and sports organizations that have recently achieved outstanding results and represented Bosnia and Herzegovina with dignity on both domestic and international stages. The event was hosted by the Federal Minister of Culture and Sports, Sanja Vlaisavljević, and Federal Minister Nerin Dizdar, who addressed the attendees on behalf of Prime Minister Nermin Nikšić.

This year, support was provided through two key segments, encompassing both Olympic and non-Olympic sports disciplines. In accordance with the applicable Regulation on Criteria for Awarding Prizes to Athletes, Sports Professionals, and Sports Associations, a total of 674,000.00 KM was allocated for outstanding sports achievements; these funds and awards were presented to 106 athletes, 12 coaches, 5 sports associations, and 27 sports clubs. In addition to the support provided under the Regulation, the Government of the Federation of BiH and the Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports also recognized results achieved in non-Olympic sports; consequently, a total of 117,250.00 KM was awarded for this category based on the Decision on Adopting the Fund Expenditure Programme for 2026.

Minister Sanja Vlaisavljević congratulated all the winners and emphasized that these results are the pride of the entire Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the country, and that the Ministry is dedicated to improving the system framework so that the athletes have adequate foundations for work, training and achieving new records. Today’s ceremony in the FBiH Government building is another proof that the institutions recognize the effort, work and sacrifice of BiH athletes, and that financial support remains a permanent commitment with the aim of continuity of top sports results.
