Bosnia and Herzegovina national team member in short track speed skating, Tarik Omeragić, set a new state record in the 500 m discipline at the World Senior Speed Skating Championship in Beijing.
He achieved the best placement in the 1000 m discipline, where he took 38th place, while in the 500 m he finished in 40th place.
“Our dear Tarik, let this record be the first in a series of records that you will set on your sports journey. I send sincere congratulations on a dignified performance in Beijing on behalf of the Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports. Good luck on the ice tracks!” Minister Sanja Vlaisavljević said in her congratulatory message.
After this great success, Tarik will have a short rest, and then preparations for the Olympic season will begin.
