On 20 January 20, representatives of the Sports Sector, Marko Komšić and Alma Kurtalić, welcomed the current WBA European Champion in boxing, Edin Puhalo, better known as Iron Puki The meeting was dedicated to the initiative for institutional support of this outstanding sporting achievement, as well as to exploring ways in which such accomplishments can be further recognized and valued at both the state and local levels.
During the discussion, Puhalo emphasized the importance of continuous support for athletes who, through their work, talent, and discipline, were contributing to promoting our country and the sport of boxing on the international stage. In turn, the institutional representatives expressed their readiness to encourage top athletes through various forms of recognition and supportm including financial and organizational measures, while inspiring younger generations to follow in their footsteps.
This visit highlights the importance of institutional recognition of sporting achievements and the provision of adequate support to our elite athletes, who through their dedication and talent set new standards.
