The Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports hosted a reception today for Josip Marić, an exceptional young athlete from Mostar who, despite the challenges of Down syndrome, won a bronze medal at the European Cup in Velika Gorica.

Federal Minister of Culture and Sports Sanja Vlaisavljević welcomed Josip, accompanied by coach Darijan Faletar, with pride and sincere joy, expressing admiration for Josip’s dedicated work, perseverance and sportsmanship that led him to this great success. The medal he won is not only recognition of his efforts, but also a strong message about the importance of inclusion, support and equal opportunities in sports.

Josip’s arrival at the Ministry was accompanied by warm congratulations and words of encouragement from the Ministry’s staff, while the Minister emphasised that she would continue to advocate for the further support and development of sports talents, especially those who were breaking barriers and inspiring the community.
