UNESCO opened a call for nominations for the UNESCO/Jikji Memory of the World Award for 2026

The interested parties are hereby informed that UNESCO has opened a call for nominations for the UNESCO/Jikji Memory of the World Award for 2024.

The UNESCO/Jikji Memory of the World award was established to mark the inclusion of the Buljo jikji simche yojeol, the oldest existing book printed with movable metal letters, in the UNESCO Memory of the World register. This award recognizes individuals, institutions or non-governmental organizations that have made a significant contribution to the preservation and accessibility of documentary heritage as a common heritage of humanity.

The deadline for submission of nomination proposals to the State Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina for UNESCO is 10 April 2026.
