We inform all interested institutions and organizations in the field of culture that UNESCO has published a call for project applications for the allocation of funds from the International Fund for Cultural Diversity (IFCD) for 2026.
The International Fund for Cultural Diversity supports projects aimed at achieving structural changes in the cultural sector, especially through the development and improvement of cultural policies and strategies, as well as the strengthening of systems that enable the creation, production, distribution and availability of diverse cultural expressions.
A special focus is placed on strengthening the human and institutional capacities of the public sector and civil society organizations, with the aim of developing sustainable cultural industries and markets.
Public institutions and civil society organizations from developing countries that are signatories to the Convention on the Protection and Promotion of the Diversity of Cultural Expressions, as well as international non-governmental organizations, have the right to apply, provided that the proposed projects contribute to structural changes in the cultural sector.
