UNESCO – Call for proposals “World Heritage Volunteers 2026 – Working for the Future”

UNESCO has opened a call for proposals for projects under the “World Heritage Volunteers” initiative for 2026.

As part of the World Heritage Education Programme of the UNESCO World Heritage Centre, the World Heritage Volunteers Initiative (WHV) was launched in 2008 in collaboration with the Coordinating Committee for International Voluntary Service (CCIVS) to mobilize and involve young people and youth organizations in the preservation and promotion of world heritage.

In order to strengthen commitment to world heritage, the World Heritage Centre invites all youth organizations, non-governmental organizations, institutions and public authorities that wish to involve young people in the preservation of world heritage through the implementation of action camps at world heritage sites in 2026.

All information about this initiative, the application form and application conditions can be found on the following website: https://whc.unesco.org/en/news/2848.

The deadline for submitting projects is 5 January, 2026.
