The celebration of the Days of European Heritage continues on the Promenade of Culture. On Wednesday, 2 October 2024, the Miners’ Band from Kakanj and the dancing couple from the Dance Club Aster, Valentina Vavra i Vedran Marčeta, will perform, with the beginning at 4 p.m.

The Miners’ Band has been active since 1952. Nowadays, it is a symbol of musical tradition and cultural heritage of Kakanj. The orchestra gathers members of all generations – from primary and secondary school students, University students, to senior citizens. This diversity contributes to the orchestra’s unique sound and energy. Their musical repertoire is extremely diverse and includes a wide range of musical genres – from traditional marches and hymns to popular songs, sevdalinkas, folk, pop-rock, film and spiritual compositions.

Valentina Vavra and Vedran Marčeta from the Dance Club Aster won the world’s championship in Argentine tango in 2018 and 2019. At the Promenade of Culture, they will dance the two most popular dances – tango and salsa.
