The Golden Paralympians Ismail Barlov and Ismail Zulfić returned from the European Paralympic Games in Istanbul with the most brilliant medals around their necks, and on that occasion, the Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports organised a welcome reception for them on the Promenade of Culture, which symbolically became the Promenade of Sports on this Wednesday.
Numerous citizens of Sarajevo, as well as the guests of the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina and media representatives came to greet our paraswimmers whose successes delighted the domestic, but also the European and world public.
Minister Sanja Vlaisavljević welcomed Barlov and Zulfić to the Promenade, to a programme that the Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports organised just in their honour. She congratulated them on their successes and, together with Draženka Subašić, Advisor to Prime Minister of the Federation, Nermin Nikšić, who was unable to attend the reception, presented certificates of appreciation for their exceptional contribution to sports.
Minister Vlaisavljević particularly highlighted the contribution, strength and dedication of the parents of our national team members who arrived at the Promenade with their sons and coach Amel Kapo. Their role in creating great sports stories for our national team members, the minister emphasized, was worthy of admiration and immense respect, and on behalf of the Ministry, she presented them with flowers.
In honour of the Bosnian and Herzegovinian Olympians who magnificently represented their homeland, but are also symbols of hope, perseverance and fearlessness, members of the band Helem Nejse and DJ Mahir Beathouse also arrived at the Promenade, at their request. Bosnian and Herzegovinian musicians congratulated the representatives on their achieved results, wished them success in everything that awaits them on their future sports journey, and sang several songs just in their honouar, emphasizing that they were pleased to be a part of this event.
