At its 47th regular session, held on 13 February 2025 in Mostar, the Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina accepted, at the proposal of the Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports, the proposal of the Youth Strategy of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina for the period 2025-2034.
“It makes me so happy that we had brought the process of creating the Youth Strategy to an end after a little more than a year, after ten years of waiting for its launch. I am happy that we can finally offer to young people a strategic document that ensures systematic support in various areas of social life, as well as the involvement of young people in decision-making processes and the creation of equal opportunities for all young people in the Federation. The significance of this document is even greater if we bear in mind that Bosnia and Herzegovina does not have the state strategy for young people. I must also say that I am proud of the team of the Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports, especially the Youth Department, headed ćby Adis Salkić, for not having given up and for having continued with the same enthusiasm even after many years to implement the Youth Strategy of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the magnificent result of that process we are seeing today,” said the Federal Minister of Culture and Sports, Sanja Vlaisavljević, after the session of the FBiH Government.
Let us remind that in October 2023, the Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina adopted the Decision on Initiating the Process of Creating the Youth Strategy of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the first strategic document in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina intended for young people, which defined a programmatic approach to action towards young people, which included defining the problems and needs of young people, strategic directions of action, as well as the goals of the Strategy and measures for the realisation of these goals. The Interdepartmental Working Group worked on drafting the text of the Strategy in cooperation with the Federal Institute for Programming of Development, the FBiH Youth Council and the Institute for Youth Development “Kult” as an expert consultant, and young people had the opportunity to present their proposals and ideas through a dialogue between young people and the authorities.
Proposal of the Youth Strategy of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina for the Period 2025-2034. will be submitted to the Parliament of the Federation of BiH for further procedure.
