The closing ceremony of the 18th May Music Festival was held on Wednesday, 18 June 2025, in the packed hall of the National Museum of Bosnia and Herzegovina, with a solemn concert by the Choir and Symphony Orchestra of the Music Academy of the University of Sarajevo. This event was held to mark seven decades of continuous work and existence of the oldest higher education music institution in Bosnia and Herzegovina — the UNSA Music Academy.

The concert, which was the crown of the entire celebration, was performed by the grandiose ensemble of the Choir and Symphony Orchestra of the Academy, conducted by Professor Emir Mejremić. The artistic program included a rich and representative repertoire that delighted the audience and marked a significant anniversary with dignity.

On behalf of the Federal Minister of Culture and Sports, Anita Vlašić, Advisor to the Minister, addressed the audience at the ceremony, expressing support and congratulations on the occasion of 70 years of the Music Academy’s contribution to the development of musical art, education and culture in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
