Lace (kera) is an airy, hollow handicraft that is made with a sewing needle. Using special skill, freely composing the thin threads and connecting various knots, the lace is formed with motifs of various types of flowers, leaves, fruits, animals, objects, etc.Throughout history, lace made in this way decorated the edges of certain parts of traditional costumes, then it was used to make collars on blouses, jackets, dresses, school aprons or as a decorative part inserted or bordered on tablecloths, curtains, wedding handkerchiefs, etc. In furnishing and decorating interiors, lace became independent in the form of a milieu in the first decades of the 20th century and became a decoration on a tray, traditional Bosnian wooden decorative table/chair (peškun), table, chest of drawers, shelves in a display case, etc.
