Assistant to the Federal Minister of Culture and Sports, Adis Salkić, participated on 19 December 2024 in the fifth training module for youth officials, organised in Teslić.
On this occasion, Salkić discussed with youth officials the role of young people in the process of creating the Youth Strategy in the Federation of BiH for the period 2025-2034, whereby he emphasized the importance of consultations with various stakeholders and shared details about the steps to be undertaken in order to have the Youth Strategy adopted, as well as about the initiative to establish the Youth Board of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Furthermore, he expressed his satisfaction with the ideas and proposals presented by the young people, emphasizing their key role in strengthening the participation of young people in decision-making processes.
“The Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports has been successfully cooperating with the Institute for Youth Development KULT for many years, especially in the implementation of the Basic Training of Youth Officers. We find the partnership with the Youth Council of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Institute for Youth Development KULT in the preparation of the draft Strategy for the Youth of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina for the period 2025-2034 extremely important. This strategic document, which should soon be taken in consideration by the Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, is of a crucial importance for improving the position of young people. The role of youth officers in promoting and supporting the implementation of this Strategy is extremely important. We look forward to the continuation of cooperation with this group of officials and we hope to further strengthen their capacities in the coming period”, said Salkić in the onversation with youth officials.
This training was another step forward in strengthening the network of youth officers, whose dedication and enthusiasm show that by working together we can create better benefits for young people in our country.
The Institute for Youth Development KULT, with the approval of the Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports, has been organizing and implementing youth officer training programmes and certification of officers working with the young people in institutions at the city, municipal and cantonal level for many years.
The training programme consisted of 120 working hours, divided into five mandatory modules that were organised in the period from June to December 2024 in different cities in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Basic training for youth officers this year brought together representatives from different local communities from Bosnia and Herzegovina with the aim of improving skills in working with young people. The training programme deals with topics key to the work of officials, and during the last module, the focus of the training was communication, organisation of meetings and monitoring of youth projects.
