Last night, in the packed Multimedia Hall of the Franciscan Centre in Sarajevo, a solemn academy was held to mark the 500th issue of the “Svjetlo riječi” magazine. From its launch in 1983 until today, this magazine for culture, society and religion has established itself as an extremely valuable testimony of the cultural history of these areas, recognized and appreciated even beyond the borders of our country. There is an impressive number of renowned authors who have written and continue to write for “Svjetlo riječi”. Snježana Šušnjar, Valerijan Žujo, Boris Beck and Fr. Janko Ćuro spoke about the rich collaboration with this paper.
On behalf of the Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports the Academy was attended by the Assistant Minister for Culture, Mirela Milićević Šečić.
The solemn academy was attended by numerous high-ranking guests and prominent names from the field of culture and science. ON this occasion, certificates of thanks were awarded to all those who supported the printing of this weekly paper in various ways.
