Salon of living languages ​​and memories at the Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports

“Salon of living languages ​​and memories” is a program that brought together students, writers and professors with the aim of illuminating the importance of language as a bearer of memory and tradition through poetry, short stories and conversation. Special emphasis is placed on intergenerational dialogue, through which the values, expressions and linguistic peculiarities that shape our cultural space are transmitted.

In the introductory part, the Federal Minister of Culture and Sports addressed the audience, welcoming all the young people who took the time to be here and actively participate in this kind of program.

In the continuation of the program, through interpretations of poetry and author’s texts, the participants opened up the issues of the relationship between language and identity, as well as the role of education in its preservation. The interactive segment further involved the audience, encouraging the exchange of words, expressions and experiences that testify to the richness of linguistic diversity.

Students of SSST Gymnasium, students of First Gymnasium Sarajevo, students of Second Gymnasium Sarajevo, students of Third Gymnasium Sarajevo and First Bosniak Gymnasium, writers Amela Mustafić and Bjanka Alajbegović participated in the program, and the program was moderated by Ivana Golijanin.

The event was concluded with a musical performance led by the MAS Guitar Duo consisting of BiH guitarists Đani Šehu and Adnan Alagić, which rounded off the message about the importance of the synergy of art, language and heritage in preserving cultural identity.
