Minister Sanja Vlaisavljević received today in her office for a working meeting representatives of the wrestling clubs who had addressed the Ministry with the aim to establish the Wrestling Association of the Federation of BiH. The invitation was accepted by representatives of the Wrestling Club “Sarajevo” Islam Sadikaj and Mensur Bektić, Wrestling Club “Bosna” Almin Joldžić and Dejan Vračić, and representative of the Wrestling Club “Željezničar” Kerim Crnkić. On behalf of the Ministry, the meeting was attended also by Assistant Minister for Sports, Adnan Džindo.
Given that two requests for approval to use the “Federation” title were sent to the Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports, both of which were signed by the same club, discussions were held on how to resolve the disputed issue, so that a Wrestling Association of the Federation of BiH could be formed in the best interest of the development and advancement of wrestling, in which all interested clubs would participate equally, which had not been the case so far.
Minister Vlaisavljević and Assistant Minister Džindo emphasised that the Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports was available to issue approval to use the name Federation to the applicant who meets all formal and legal requirements stipulated by law.
