The Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports received on 23 September 2024 representatives of the “LIFT – Spatial Initiatives” Organisation, Jasmin Sirćo and Nedim Mutevelić, who are also the organisers of the Architecture Days Festival, one of the most significant events in the field of architecture in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Sirćo and Mutevelić introduced to minister Vlaisavljević the idea of ​​launching an initiative for the first participation of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the prestigious Architecture Biennale in Venice, which will be organised in the period from 5 to 11 November 2025.

Minister Vlaisavljević welcomed the guests to the Ministry, expressing her regret that Bosnia and Herzegovina had not had a representative at the Venice Architecture Biennale in Venice before, indicating readiness of the Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports to take all the necessary steps for this initiative to be taken into consideration at the state level that governed the Protocol on the Model of Bosnia and Herzegovina’s Participation in the Venice Biennale of Contemporary Art and the Venice Biennale of Architecture.

Sirćo and Mutevelić thanked the Minister for having presented them with an opportunity to present the proposal on the participation of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the most significant global gathering of experts and lovers of architecture. They announced that in the coming period, they would include other associations of architects from all over Bosnia and Herzegovina in order to jointly show their interest in such a project, which is of exceptional importance for Bosnia and Herzegovina, to be approved by the competent authorities.
