On 22 September 2025, a meeting was held at the Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports between Minister Sanja Vlaisaljević and the Ambassador of Kuwait to Bosnia and Herzegovina, His Excellency Salah Albannaia.

Minister Vlaisavljević extended a warm welcome to the Ambassador and his associates to the Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports, for the first time.

Ambassador Albannaia thanked the Minister for her introductory words of welcome, emphasizing that he was honored to come to the Ministry and meet with the Federal Minister of Culture and Sports and her team.

The Ambassador presented the culture and cultural tourism of his home country, emphasizing his great desire for cooperation between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Kuwait in the fields of culture, sports and youth, given the potential. He expressed his desire to first verify the Agreement on Cultural and Technical Cooperation between the two countries, which had received special focus for years.

The Minister spoke about the opportunities and challenges in BiH sports, citing as one example the success of paraswimmer Ismail Barlov, who became the vice-champion of the world in paraswimming, and who deserved much more concrete support in order to strengthen his sports path, as well as the path of many other categories worthy of attention and concrete support.

At the end of the meeting, Minister Vlaisavljević pointed out that the Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports, which she was heading, fully supported the concretization of mutual cooperation and remains available for all proposals on possible forms of cooperation.

The Kuwaiti Ambassador once again thanked the Minister for the reception and constructive and concrete proposals, concluding that was just the beginning of extremely successful cooperation, to mutual satisfaction.
