On 17 March 2026, the first working meeting was held as part of the “Strength and impact of youth work in Bosnia and Herzegovina” campaign, which aims to improve the position of young people and strengthen the recognition of youth work in Bosnia and Herzegovina.17
On behalf of the Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports, Adnan Bektić, expert advisor for international cooperation, attended the meeting.
The campaign is implemented by the Institute for Youth Development KULT in cooperation with the Ministry of Civil Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The aim of the campaign is to strengthen the political, institutional and social recognition of work with young people, as well as to emphasize its importance for improving the quality of life of young people in Bosnia and Herzegovina. As part of this initiative, the creation of a joint document/recommendations on the importance and development of youth work in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the design and implementation of a public campaign, and the strengthening of intersectoral cooperation in the field of youth work is planned.
The campaign is aimed at raising the awareness of the public and decision-makers about the importance of a systemic approach to working with young people and improving intersectoral cooperation between institutions and organizations operating in this area. A special focus was placed on emphasizing the importance of a systematic, organized and quality approach to working with young people, as one of the key components of young people’s development and improving their position in the community.
Through a series of planned activities, the campaign will contribute to a better understanding of the role of working with young people, as well as creating a more favorable environment for their development and active participation in society.
