I would like to thank you for the invitation to the lecture and presentation of the book “Croatian National Symbols” by Mario Jareb.

This is a valuable scientific work that systematically and in an argumentative manner sheds light on the historical development, meaning and symbolism of Croatian national symbols. Reflecting on the symbols that have shaped our identity, state and legal tradition and cultural awareness is of utmost importance, especially in a time when it is necessary to cultivate historical foundations, dialogue and responsibility towards one’s own heritage.

I believe that the lecture and presentation of the book will stimulate fruitful discussion and further enrich the cultural and scientific life of the community. I congratulate the author on the publication of this important publication, and I thank the organizers for their effort and dedication in promoting scientific and publishing activities.
