The Federal Minister of Culture and Sports, Sanja Vlaisavljević, received in her office today the opera singer Erol Ramadanović, a soloist of the Opera of the National Theatre in Sarajevo. Primarily, they discussed the improvement of the status of young artists in Bosnia and Herzegovina, with a special emphasis on the promotion of the local talents such as Ramadanović. Ramadanović is a recognisable name on the European and global opera scene.
The Minister emphasised the importance of supporting the artists who achieved success on the international stage, pointing out the need for their promotion in the homeland, especially considering that artists such as Ramadanović were acting as ambassadors of our culture in the world. The Minister also emphasised that the institutions responsible for culture had a responsibility to recognise the work of these artists and provide them with space for development and contribution in the homeland as well.
Ramadanović shared his experiences and challenges faced by the artists in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and proposed initiatives to strengthen cultural infrastructure and to promote opera among young people. He also expressed his gratitude to the Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports recognising the need to improve the conditions in which musical talents in Bosnia and Herzegovina worked. The meeting was concluded with an agreement on future cooperation on music projects in the Ministry building, which would enrich the cultural offer and bring classic music closer to a wider audience.
