Minister Sanja Vlaisavljević today received in her office the spokesperson of the Special Olympics of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Vanja Mihajlović Durković.

After opening words of welcome, Minister Vlaisavljević at the very beginning of the meeting referred to the exceptional success of the Special Olympics BiH representatives at the international Winter Games competition “Emil Open” held in the Czech Republic, from which the BiH team returned last weekend with the most brilliant medals.

Mihajlović Durković emphasized the importance of inclusion, solidarity and adapting the system to vulnerable categories of the population, given that society is still not fully aware and ready, without prejudice, to provide equality to all categories of the population. Also, she informed the minister about the idea of ​​organizing a large inclusive international sports competition in Bosnia and Herzegovina, about which more details will be known in the coming period.

At the end, Minister Vlaisavljević emphasized the full commitment and support of the Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports to improving the position of vulnerable categories through systematic support, inclusive policies and cooperation, which was proven through concrete examples in the previous period.
