Today, the 13th event within the Days of European Heritage 2024 programme was held on the Promenade of Culture in front of the Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports with the members of the Croatian Cultural and Artistic Society “Fra Karlo Kujundžić” Brestovsko and majorettes of the Croatian Cultural Society “Napredak”.
In the opening speech, Minister Sanja Vlaisavljević welcomed the guests:
“Summer has arrived, activities to promote the cultural heritage continue and our today’s event will be coloured by song and dance! I would like to wish a warm welcome to everyone who joined us today on the sunny Promenade, our guests, passers-by. It’s time to give the floor to those who are here today because of you, because of us, because of the heritage…Enjoy the programme!” said the minister.
The majorette of the Croatian Cultural Society “Napredak” from Busovača delighted the audience with gorgeous choreography and the beauty of movements.
The Society was founded nine years ago, and today they have 50 members in three age groups. Thanks to a successful year, the majorettes have an important competition coming up in the fall: the European Majorette Competition in Italy.
Representatives of the Cultural and Art Society “Fra Karlo Kujundžić” from Brestovsko presented themselves with a varied programme, so that the guests and passers-by on the Promenade of Culture had the opportunity to see the choreography and performances of the Adult Singing Group, the Adult Folklore Ensemble and the Children’s Folklore Ensemble. The Society was founded in 2013 with the goal to preserve the cultural heritage, folklore customs, songs and folk costumes of the region from which they come.
