On 19 February 2025, starting at 9:00 a.m., a joint meeting of the Coordination Team for Monitoring the Implementation of the Recommendations of the Committee of Signatories to the Istanbul Convention and the Coordination Body for Monitoring the Strategy for the Prevention and Combating of Domestic Violence for the Period 2024-2027 were held in the premises of the Gender Centre of the Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. These two meetings were merged into one, in order to ensure better coordination and efficiency in the work of these bodies.

During the meeting of the Coordination Team, the present members discussed the activities implemented in relation to monitoring of the implementation of the Committee’s recommendations, the preparation of the Draft Report 2024, and the definition of the next steps in the monitoring and reporting process.

At the meeting of the Coordinating Body for Monitoring the Strategy for Prevention and Combating Domestic Violence for the period 2024-2027, previous results were analysed and the key aspects of the implementation of the strategy were considered.

The meeting was attended by representatives of the Federal Ministry of Internal Affairs, Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Policy, Federal Ministry of Health, Federal Ministry of Education and Science, Federal Ministry of Displaced Persons and Refugees, as well as a representative of the Federal Institute for Development Programming. On behalf of the Ministry of Culture and Sports, the meeting was attended by Hanadin Basarić, the Coordination Team member.

In accordance with the conclusions of the thematic session of the Parliament of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the obligations arising from the Decision on the Appointment of these bodies, the Final Report 2024 will be submitted to the Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Parliament of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The Report includes all activities and data submitted by the members of the coordinating bodies, each in their own jurisdiction, with the aim of documenting the achieved results and challenges during the past year.
