Long Night of Museums isan important cultural event organised by museums and other cultural institutions. On this night, museums are open for visitors until long into the night, usually with no entrance fee.

This event was for the first time held in 1997 in Berlin as „Lange Nacht der Museen“. The manifestation attracted huge interest and was expanded in the following years to include ever more institutions and various cities and towns across Europe and the world. This manifestation, supported by UNESCO, Council of Europe and International Council of Museums aims at improving access to culture and arouse interest of visitors. These events often include various supporting events and actives as exhibitions, workshops and lectures.
