The Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports organized the “Life Under Glass – A Walk Through Renovation” programme, dedicated to reflecting on the preservation and restoration of cultural heritage.
The programme was organized in anticipation of the celebration of European Heritage Day, following the framework of the story of heritage that emphasizes the need to protect space, traditions, and cultural values that shape our identity.
The program focused on a terrarium-making workshop led by architect Dolores Janko, an employee of the Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports. Through the process of creating “life under glass”, participants had the opportunity to participate in a symbolic act of reviving space, with the terrarium becoming a symbol of patience and responsibility towards heritage that needs to be preserved and restored.
At the beginning of the programme, the Head of the UNESCO Office in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Siniša Šešum, addressed the audience, highlighting the continuous efforts of the Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports in the protection and promotion of heritage.
The programme was additionally enriched by the musical performance of guitarist Darko Hrgić and pianist Vlado Podany, whose repertoire followed the “walk through renovation” and symbolically connected the space of memory preservation with the space of meeting and dialogue.
