The Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports shall continue this year implementing a significant number of projects and activities of public interest from its field of competence, through which it shall continue promoting the role and activities of the Ministry, as well as of the entire Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

In 2025, the Ministry shall be actively working on implementing the below-listed key projects and activities of public interest in field of culture, sports, youth and the protection of monuments:

1.         Sports

– providing support to the project of constructing the swimming-pool in Mostar,

–  providing support to the project “Youth Sports Games”,

– co-financing the work of the BiH Olympic Committee and BiH Para-Olympic Committee,

– co-financing the work of the BiH Special Olympics,

– providing financial support to young sportsmen through the Sports Foundation,

– adoption of the Act on Sportsmen Awarding, Supporting and Categorising;

2.         Culture

–  providing support to the project of significance for the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina,

– providing support to cultural manifestations, programmes and projects of national minorities in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina,

– international manifestation “Days of European Heritage“,

– project of participation of the BiH representatives in the Biennale of Contemporary Art in Venice,

– providing support to fundamental cultural organisations of peoples of Bosnia and Herzegovina,

– projects of cooperation with UNESCO on preserving non-material cultural heritage of the peoples of Bosnia and Herzegovina,

– providing support to projects of scientific and cultural institutions of significance for Bosnia and Herzegovina,

– projects of constructing and reconstructing the cultural facilities,

–  projects of constructing and reconstructing the cultural and constructing heritage,

– providing support to projects of personal artistic development of individual artists,

– providing support to projects and authors in publishing field,

–  providing support to projects in librarian field,

– providing support to projects of art production in field of music, performing art and painting,

– providing support to projects in field of cinematography and audio-visual creation in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina,

– project of protecting the film national treasure in the Public Enterprise “The Film Centre Sarajevo“;

3.         Youth

– providing support to activities of youth organisations,

– providing support to the work of the Youth Council of BiH,

– adoption of the Youth Strategy of the Federation of BiH 2025–2034,

– involving the young people in the process of creating, implementing and supervising the implementation of youth programme and policies at the level of the Federation of BiH by founding the inter-departmental governmental body – the Youth Committee of the Federation of BiH.

4. Institute for the Protection of Monuments

– project of archaeological research and protection of archaeological sites and cultural monuments on the route of the highway corridor Vc,

– the project “Initiative for the rehabilitation of Počitelj and its promotion as a top tourist destination in Bosnia and Herzegovina” in cooperation with the European Commission,

– the project of restoration and conservation works on the porch of the madrasa in Počitelj, supported by the European Commission within the EU4ALL project,

– the project “Reducing the risk of disasters for sustainable development in Bosnia and Herzegovina” in the field of heritage protection of Bosnia and Herzegovina with special reference to localities included in the UNESCO World Heritage List,

– activities related to professional and scientific cooperation in the field of architecture, urban planning, spatial planning, archaeology, conservation and protection of monuments with the faculties of the University of Sarajevo and the University of Mostar,

– project of educating young experts from faculties close to cultural and historical heritage with a special focus on the scientific approach and practical teaching,

– activities in the Interstate Coordination Committee for the Implementation of the Management Plan “Stećci – Medieval Tombstones” inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List,

– activities in the Coordination Committee of Bosnia and Herzegovina for the implementation of the Management Plan “Stećci – medieval tombstones” registered on the UNESCO World Heritage List,

– activities in the Coordination Committee of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina for the implementation of the Management Plan “Stećci – medieval tombstones” inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List,

– activities of monitoring the implementation of the conclusions of the Interstate and State Coordination Committee, guidelines and established methodologies for the protection, preservation and presentation of the sites defined by the UNESCO List,

– creation of a framework study for spatial data licensing as a part of the implementation of the Work Plan on the establishment, maintenance and development of IPP FBiH,

– project of preparing and publishing the yearbook of the Institute for the Protection of Monuments, the expert magazine “Our Antiquities” (issue 26),

– project of continuous conservation monitoring of projects according to approvals for the construction of buildings and areas declared national monuments of Bosnia and Herzegovina from the territory of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
