On behalf of the town of Livno, the guests were welcomed to the Promenade by the Director of the Tourist Office of Livno, Monika Mihaljević, who introduced the guests, the participants of the programme:
“We are pleased to be a part of this wonderful programme. Tonight we have come to present to you a town with a thousand-year history, exceptional cultural heritage rich tradition of folklore, music, art… the town of exceptional photographers, the first painters with academic education in Bosnia and Herzegovina, exceptional gastronomic offer and the town of unique tourist attractions, I would say not only in Bosnia and Herzegovina but also beyond its borders. We sincerely thank the Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports for its support and cooperation over all these years,” said Mihaljević, emphasizing that Livno will be presented not only with the songs, melodies, flavours, paintings and scents of the Livno region, but also with the legacy of the Franciscan Museum and the Gorica Livno Gallery.
The Director of the Franciscan Museum and Gallery Gorica Livno, Dražena Džeko, expressed her satisfaction with the organization of the event: “It is an exceptional honour for me to present the cultural and historical heritage of Livno today. I would like to thank the Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports for the opportunity to present a town rich in tradition and culture. The Franciscan Museum and Gallery Gorica Livno is the guardian of the cultural heritage of the Livno region. Here on the Promenade of Culture, we present the cultural offer, but also the legacy of two great artists – Gabrijel Jurkić, whose collection we inherited and which we have been carefully preserving, and the legacy of Mate Kaić, the first Livno amateur photographer from the early 20th century, whose heritage we inherited and which we are present here today,” said Džeko.
The cultural and artistic societies, Rudine from the Vidoši country and Tribanj from the Bila country, as well as the City Brass Band, also performed on the Promenade of Culture, whereas the Livno cheese, honey and homemade juices prepared with love were just a part of the gastronomic offer for guests.
