On 1 October 2024, based on the expert consent of the Institute for the Protection of Monuments and the Agreement between the investor Mejlis Islamic Community Donji Vakuf and the contractor Neimari d.o.o. from Sarajevo, works began on the rehabilitation and reconstruction of Hasan Kjafija’s madrassa and Muslim grave in Prusac.
Rehabilitation works refer to dismantling of cracked stone walls, damaged roof structures, cutting off capillary water, injecting foundation walls, creating drainage around the building, as well as rebuilding, creating the roof structure and covering the building with hand-cut wooden shingles.
So far, the work has been done on the dismantling of the above-mentioned elements, as well as the work of cutting capillary water with injection and creating drainage around the building. The contractor secured the oak timber for the construction of the roof structure and proceeded to its tailoring, on the construction site, based on the removed structure.
All the mentioned works are carried out according to the established dynamics, anticipated materials and expected quality with the conservation supervision of the expert team of the Institute for the Protection of Monuments, Azer Aličić and Dženana Šaran.
