The expert team of the Institute for the Protection of Monuments carried out on 20 August 2025 professional conservatory supervision of the works on the national monument JU Secondary School of Agriculture, Nutrition, Veterinary Medicine and Service Activities at 55 Hamdije Kreševljakovića Street in Sarajevo.

Works on the renovation of the facade of the building are entering the final phase, they are maximally intensified with an increased number of workers on the finishing of the facade. From the aspect of cultural heritage protection, the quality of the works is considered satisfactory.

The Institute for the Protection of Monuments was addressed by the Majlis of the Islamic Community of Tešanj with a request for the reconstruction of two wooden window shutters- business premises on the corner of Tabačka and Enes Galijašević streets, in the immediate vicinity of the national monument of the Ferhad Bey Mosque in Tešanj.

Upon inspection of the Decision of the Commission for the Preservation of National Monuments, it was established that the business premises were not covered by the protection zone, considering that the Decision treated only the Ferhad Bey Mosque as a national monument.

The Institute for the Protection of Monuments was aware that the wooden window shutter on the corner had a floor that visually and ambientally did not fit into the existing row of wooden window shutters. Bearing in mind that the Majlis of the Islamic Community of Tešanj informed the Institute that the floor of the chapel in question had been illegally built, the Institute considers that the removal of the existing floor is justified, for the purpose of improving the visualisation and presentation of the national monument.

The applicant was informed about the conditions for reconstructing the two business premises.
