On 12 March 2026, the expert staff of the Institute for the Protection of Monuments inspected the condition at the site of Hodovo near Stolac for the construction of a photovoltaic power plant. After inspecting the terrain, the existence of several grave complexes, previously unexplored and unrecorded, was established. After a meeting with the head of archaeological supervision, the next steps and measures for the protection of the site were established.
After inspecting the terrain, the expert staff went to the necropolis of Radimlja and Boljuni I and II near Stolac to determine the current condition of the necropolises. The aforementioned necropolises represent very important sites of cultural heritage and are both included in the list of National Monuments of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the UNESCO World Heritage List.
