On 10 March 2026, an inspection was carried out of the state of conservation and restoration works on the ongoing maintenance of the facade of the parish church of St. Michael the Archangel in Vareš. The inspection was carried out in the presence of representatives of the investor, supervision on behalf of the investor and the contractor.
The inspection of the state of the works determined that the works are being carried out in accordance with the planned dynamics, project documentation and given guidelines.
Works are currently being carried out on the western and northern facades. Preparatory works on the western facade have been completed, including decorative plastic – cornices that were manually drawn on site, using templates, and are ready for the application of the final layer (paint) according to the adopted schemes. Preparatory works on the northern facade are nearing completion.
The samples that the contractor placed according to the guidelines from the meeting held on 3 March 2026 were inspected. Samples of the selected colors from the tone charts of the manufacturers ROFIX and CAPAROL were placed. It was concluded that the most acceptable are the Caparol colors that were made based on previously used STO colors, as follows:
Flat surfaces 32 114 light shade
Prominent parts 32 112 dark shade
Decorative plastic 16 002 Alt weis white shade.
