The Municipality of Stari Grad Sarajevo applied to the Institute for the Protection of Monuments with a request for permission to place two horizontal illuminated advertisements on the facade of the building in Jelića and Ferhadija streets in Sarajevo, and based on the request of Cafe restaurant “LOKA” d.o.o. Sarajevo.

An on-site inspection revealed that the horizontal illuminated advertisement above the entrance to the restaurant on Ferhadija Street is oversized (196×45 cm) and that it threatens the visual integrity of the whole and creates a negative impact on the protected area. An advertisement of the requested dimensions could only be accepted if it is non-luminous.
