The Director of the Institute for Monuments’ Protection, Rober Stergar and Expert Advisor for Architectural and Archaeological Heritage, Azra Tunović inspected the condition of the building at 39 Franjevačka Street in Sarajevo.
For this building, which originates from the Austro-Hungarian period, an ongoing maintenance project was created by the ARHIPLUS d.o.o. Mostar that includes the replacement of the covering, the exterior carpentry of the first floor and the attic, and the restoration and conservation of the building’s facade. The building and its condition (facade, roof, all floors) were inspected with its owner, whereby a certain level of damage was noted, and the intervention justified. The Institute for Monuments’ Protection will follow with the suggestions with a detailed description in the its expert opinion.
