Inclusive exhibition “Culture to Everyone” opened in the BiH Art Gallery


Last night, the exhibition “Culture to Everyone”, organised by the “Life with Down Syndrome of FBiH” Association, was officially opened in the Art Gallery of Bosnia and Herzegovina as a part of the regional project “Museums to Everyone – the Path to More Accessible Museums in Montenegro and Bosnia and Herzegovina”.

The exhibition presents selected works from the Gallery’s permanent exhibition, but in the form of 3D models specially adapted for people with visual impairments, intellectual disabilities and other forms of disability that artworks can experience through multiple forms of accessibility: tactile 3D printed replicas, audio guides with explanations and context, inscriptions in Braille, as well as descriptions adapted to easy-reading standards.

This exhibition combines art and inclusion in a unique way, enabling people with disabilities to have equal access to cultural content and confirming that the right to culture belongs to everyone without exception.

On behalf of the Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports, the opening of the exhibition was attended by Anita Vlašić, adviser to the minister.
