Asim Horozić, a prominent Bosnian composer and music pedagogue, died in Tuzla on 1 October 2023, after a long and serious illness.

During his career, Asim Horozić held various teaching positions. From 2006 to 2013, he was a lecturer, and then from 2013 to 2018, an associate professor at the Composition Department of the Music Academy of Sarajevo, specializing in composition.

During his career, this distinguished composer was awarded several awards and recognitions, including the Tuzla Plaque with a Silver Coat of Arms in 2000, Charter of the Association of Music Pedagogues of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina in 2007 for his contribution to music pedagogy, and April 6 Award of the City of Sarajevo in 2021 for his contribution to culture and art.
