Mirsad Bećirbašić, a BiH poet, prose writer and French translator, died in Tuzla on 11 February 2024 at the age of 71.

Bećirbašić translated “The Little Prince” by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry and selected poems “Barbara” by Jacques Prevert.

He wrote some of the most beautiful songs for children and young adults, and was involved in numerous projects for children and young adults.
