The Special Olympics World Winter Games were opened on 8 March 2025 in the packed Inalpi Arena.

Federal Minister of Culture and Sports, Sanja Vlaisavljević, wished the Bosnian and Herzegovina team luck as she marched in the parade in step with the young people, the best ambassadors of our country.

Walking with our representatives to their seats, the common mission of inclusion and equality for all was once again the mission and guiding principle of progress that Minister Vlaisavljević encouraged and reinforced with examples.

The opening ceremony was attended by numerous world officials, representatives of the participating countries, as well as representatives of the diplomatic corps.
