The concert titled “An Evening of Croatian Songs” was held last night in the packed hall of the Catholic Education Centre “Saint Joseph” in Sarajevo in organisation of the Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports, within the traditional manifestation “Days of European Heritage 2024”.
Federal Minister of Culture and Sports Sanja Vlaisavljević welcomed the audience:
“Dear friends, dear guests, Your Excellency Ambassador Sabolić, Secretary General to the Council of Minister, Mr. Vidović, minister Bunoza and other highly ranked officials and all dear friends, who decided to spend this Wednesday evening with us. In this way we celebrate the Days of European Heritage with a symbolic motto that should be inspiring to all of us: Roads, Connections, Networks. I do believe that those connections are still tight, and that they will last for ever. When you want to investigate culture of a nation, philosophers advise you to check first that nation’s history, poetry, prose, music, customs, traditions… Can you see them? They are alive! I truly believe that this evening of Croatian songs will show how long is the history of those whose songs we are going to listen tonight”, said the Minister.
The “Croatian Music” Orchestra from Mostar, directed by maestro Filip Milošević performed at the concert. Other performers were: solo player Ivan Sušac, the band composed of Emil Bevanda, Dajana Alilović and Marin Ćubela, solo player of the National Opera of Sarajevo Ileš Bečei, Ajdin Osmanović accompanied by his professor Jasmin Brašnjić, and famous majorerettes from Busovača directed by Dragana Bohutinski.
