The Promenade of Culture was a meeting point for rich tradition and cultural heritage, as this week’s guests of the Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports in the programme marking the “Days of European Heritage 2025” arrived from Donji Vakuf.

After the welcoming speech by the Advisor to the Minister, Emilija Pavićević, the attendees were addressed by the Mayor of the Municipality of Donji Vakuf, Senad Selimović. Mayor Selimović greeted the guests on his personal behalf and on behalf of the Municipality of Donji Vakuf and expressed his satisfaction and gratitude to the Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports and Minister Sanja Vlaisavljević for the opportunity to present the cultural, traditional and historical heritage of this region on the Sarajevo Promenade.

The moderator Dijana Duzić then introduced the artists and the authentic programme, emphasizing that it was a wonderful opportunity for the visitors to the Promenade of Culture to feel “a breath of the hospitality of Donji Vakuf and to open up the rich cultural heritage of this region.”

With the remark that “the world remains on the young people, but it also begins with them”, Duzić announced the musical guests.

The program included the duo Ajdin and Harun, the youth music group “CKIS”, the Recreational Folklore Group, the Nakib Abdagić Kiban Cultural Association, and at the very end of the programme, a concert was organized in which Vis “FORTE”, Albin Tutkur and Almedina Omeragić participated, who delighted the audience with their performance of popular songs.

In addition to the musical programme, the guests from Donji Vakuf presented an exhibition of original photographs “Donji Vakuf in the Past Century”, as well as an improvised Bosnian room with Bosnian women dressed in national costumes who have been responsible throughout history for making and preserving traditional objects and handicrafts that are on display on the Sarajevo Promenade on this occasion. To complete the atmosphere, the hardworking ladies from Donji Vakuf prepared a gastronomic offer that enticed both visitors and passers-by. Some of them decided to stay on the Cultural Promenade and enjoy the programme, as well as the unique Bosnian food offer, which this time was rich in pie and various homemade juices.
