Following the footsteps of European heritage, the Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports organised on Wednesday the presentation of the Municipality of Vareš on the Promenade of Culture.
At the very beginning of the event, the guests from Vareš and the visitors on the Promenade were greeted by Emilija Pavićević, Advisor to the Minister, who especially thanked all the associations that were cherishing cultural heritage and tradition and announced a rich programme to present the Municipality of Vareš.
The moderator, Emina Burek from Vareš, introduced the programme participants, representatives of the Association „Friends of Music Emil Milo Cipra Vareš” who prepared an unforgettable programme in cooperation with the Center for Culture and Education of Vareš, and then introduced visitors to the historical sights of Vareš, old blacksmith crafts, the traditional International Art Colony Borovica, the local collection of the Vareš General Library, and numerous other noteworthy artists and sights of this Bosnian and Herzegovina region.
The guests were also addressed by the Director of the Public Institution “Center for Culture and Education Vareš”, Šejla Kapetanović, on behalf of the Municipality of Vareš, and thanked them for the exceptional opportunity to present the diversity and tradition that Vareš had inherited through all generations.
The participants of the programme of presenting Vareš on the Promenade were the Choir of the Bosnian Cultural Community, KUD “Vareš”, led by Sanjin Babović, the young artist Dženan Jusić who presented works from his artistic oeuvre, the Vareš Music School and the Association “Moja prva nota”, which was specially presented by the Association President, Igor Hinger.
The CIPRA Quartet, one of the most promising string quartets on the international scene, attracted the special attention of classical music lovers in the second part of the programme.
At the end of the programme, Andrea Nikolić thanked on behalf of the “Emil Milo Cipra” Association for the opportunity to present a part of the Vareš Festival Classic on the Promenade of Culture and invited the audience to visit Vareš and see for themselves that Vareš had the largest number of cultural events per capita.
