On yet another Wednesday the 11th event was organised within the Days of European Heritage programme. The Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports hosted today members of the Cultural and Art Society “Ivan Planina” from Tarčin who celebrate this year a valuable, seventy-fifth anniversary.
Minister Sanja Vlaisavljević greeted the guests at the beginning of the programme: “I would like to thank our guests today for sharing wonderful moments with us on the Promenade. Today we also have the youngest guests we’ve had so far. I’m glad that Tarčin is with us today and that different towns are exchanging on our Promenade every Wednesday. I’m sure that these wonderful young people can’t wait to show us what they know. Welcome and thank you”, said the minister.
The “Ivan planina”society has 150 members, mainly in the music and folklore departments. They cherish the folklore and musical traditions of all the peoples and nationalities of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as the neighbouring countries. On the Promenade of Culture, they performed with three ensembles and an orchestra.
The preparatory children’s folklore group performed a set of Muslim dances, the Children’s Ensemble performed Muslim dances from around Hadžići, whereas the Performing Ensemble presented Orthodox dances from around Sarajevo.
Members of the National Orchestra presented their skills to the guests on the Promenade, and Hamza Bajrić performed two songs – “Karanfil se na put sprema” and “Sjećaš li se hanuma”.
