On 9 July 2025, the Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports organised an event on the Promenade of Culture, dedicated to the culture, tradition and heritage of Maglaj and Novi Šeher.

At the very beginning of the event, Minister Sanja Vlaisavljević wished a warm welcome to the guests to Sarajevo and the Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports.

In the first part of the programme, before the guests from Maglaj and Novi Šeher introduced themselves to the audience, the musical duo Dejana Hršum and Vlado Podany held a concert for visitors, performing both popular and traditional songs.

The programme prepared by the guests from Maglaj and Novi Šeher was presented by the representative of the municipalities, Mr. Marinko Kelavić, who at the very beginning of the speech praised the valuable and diligent work of the Ministry and Minister Vlaisavljević, thanking them for the warm welcome and the opportunity to present and promote the cultural creativity of the Novi Šeher and Maglaj regions.

The programme was performed by members of the folklore section of the UG “Cicmanka” Novi Šeher, HKUD “Gromovnik” Novi Šeher, KUD “Sedef”. Furthermore, an exhibition of paintings by the Maglaj artists Fuad Čičkušić, Admira Brdarić, Davor Sović, Hava Serhatlić and Alojzije Gašparević – Gaša was presented showing these places through history.

Original songs, dances, traditional crafts, performances of sevdalinka and readings of poems by Maglaj poets Džeraldina Delić and Rašida Muhić-Šida were complemented by a performance of classics on the violin by the talented Iva Lončar.

The wonderful atmosphere was completed with numerous traditional dishes and cakes prepared, displayed and distributed to the visitors on the promenade of Culture by the hardworking ladies from HKUD “Gromovnik” and UG “Cicmanka”.
