Contracts signed at the Ministry with beneficiaries of the Capital Transfer – Construction of Sports Infrastructure

On Wednesday, 18 June 2025, the Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports held a ceremony of signing contracts with the representatives of cities and municipalities-beneficiaries of the Capital Transfer – Construction of Sports Infrastructure. The contracts were signed by Minister Sanja Vlaisavljević and the following beneficiaries:

– Nermin Ogrešević, Mayor of Cazin for the project “Construction of the City Swimming Pool – Phase 2”,

– Mirel Hrvić on behalf of the Mayor of Tešanj, Suad Huskić for the project “Construction and equipping of the Jelah Sports Hall”,

– Senad Selimović, Mayor of Donji Vakuf for the projects “Adaptation of the Sports Hall” and “Adaptation of the Sports Center and Construction of Changing Rooms”,

– Darko Čondrić, Mayor of Livno for the project “Renovation of the Dalibor Perković Dali Livno Sports Hall”,

– Danko Jurič, Mayor of Kupres for the project “Construction of the Sports and Recreation Center in the Municipality of Kupres – Phase I”,

– Ivo Pavković, Mayor of Široki Brijeg for the project “Renovation of Playgrounds in the City of Široki Brijeg” and

– Ante Begić, Mayor of Posušje – for the project “Improvement of Sports Infrastructure by Upgrading the South Stand of the Mokri Dolac Stadium”.

The allocated funds enable the implementation of projects for the construction, reconstruction and equipping of sports facilities, thus creating better conditions for engaging in sports and recreational activities, especially among young people.

This confirms the Ministry’s commitment to evenly develop the sports sector, with the support of local communities that recognise the importance of investing in health and an active lifestyle.

After the signing ceremony, further cooperation, challenges in project implementation, as well as potential for future investments were discussed. Special emphasis was placed on the need for transparent spending of funds and sustainability of constructed facilities, in order to ensure a long-term contribution to the development of sports at the local level.

The Ministry will continue to provide support to local communities in the coming period with the aim of creating accessible, high-quality and functional sports infrastructure for all citizens.
