I send you my sincere congratulations on the occasion of the Lenten concert “Let us all kneel down to the ground” performed by the Folk Singers of the Catholic Theological Faculty from Zagreb.

Lenten songs represent a precious part of our spiritual and musical heritage. Their simplicity, deep devotion and strong emotional expressiveness have accompanied believers during the Lenten period for centuries, encouraging concentration, reflection and togetherness. It is through concerts like these that the rich tradition of folk church singing, which is an important part of the cultural identity of our people, is preserved and transmitted.

The dedication of the Folk Singers of the KBF is of particular value, as they contribute to the preservation of this valuable musical and spiritual heritage and bring it closer to new generations through their work and nurturing of traditional songs.
