The Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports proudly congratulates our karate player Nejra Sipović on winning first place at the World Karate Premier League in Rome in the category of senior women up to 55 kg after impressive performances throughout the competition day.

In the group stage, Nejra won first place by defeating contestants from Russia, Latvia and Belgium, while in the elimination stage she won against the current world champion from Egypt with a score of 4:1, and was then better than the representative of Russia in the semi-finals with the same score. In the final match, she once again showed her top form and deservedly won the gold medal.

During the entire competition in Rome, Nejra was guided by her coach Denis Muhović, who additionally contributed to this extraordinary success with his expert guidance.

The World Karate Premier League represents the highest level of competition under the auspices of the World Karate Federation (WKF), and only the 32 best-ranked karatekas in the world have the right to perform, which further confirms the magnitude of this result.

We send our sincere congratulations to Nejra on winning the gold medal, with the wish that she will continue to promote sport and the sporting excellence of our country with her results.
