The Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports extends its sincere congratulations to Bosnian-Herzegovinian shooter Farah Onešćuk for her remarkable achievement at the World Championship in Cairo in the women’s air rifle discipline.
Farah Onešćuk set a new national record with a score of 631.0 points, and among 120 of the world’s best competitors she secured an excellent 18th place. This result is even more significant considering that Farah is still a junior, thereby confirming her exceptional potential and talent.
Her placement earned her 834 points on the World Ranking List, which will considerably improve her current standing, where she is presently ranked 87th among the world’s top competitors.
At the World Championship, first place was won by Ban Hyojin from South Korea, second by Wang Zifei from China, and third by Valarivan Elavenil from India.
The Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports expresses pride in the success of our young athlete, who with her results represents Bosnia and Herzegovina with dignity on the international sports scene, and extends congratulations and gratitude to all who supported her performance, including the Ministry of Culture and Sports of the Sarajevo Canton and the City of Sarajevo.
