The Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports extends its sincere congratulations to all competitors from Bosnia and Herzegovina who participated in the 45th edition of one of the most prestigious marathons in the world – the “Valencia Marathon”, held in Valencia, Spain with a record turnout of 36,000 runners.

Special congratulations to Demir Hadžimuratović, who achieved the best result among BiH representatives with an extraordinary time of 2:53:55. This success is even more significant considering his previous personal best from 2022 in Chicago, when he ran 3:02:45. Demir’s progress and dedication to sports are an example of perseverance and sportsmanship that motivates our entire community.

We are also proud of all the other competitors who worthily represented Bosnia and Herzegovina on this great sports stage: Mirzet Halilović, Vedran Vukotić, Nejra Huskić, Vanja Duran, Aldin Abdagić, Ines Blažević and Haris Memić. Your effort, commitment and sports enthusiasm deserve every recognition. Once again, we congratulate all the participants and wish them much success and inspiration in future sports challenges.
