The Ministry of Civil Affairs sent to the Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports the notification from the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Sarajevo about the holding of the closing ceremony of the 33rd World Book of the Year Award of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

The award is given to researchers, authors and translators in the field of Iranian and Islamic studies for works published during 2024 (first edition outside Iran).

Thematic areas include:

Islamic Studies: History of Islam, Islamic civilization, Quranic and Hadith studies, Islamic philosophy and theology, Islamic law, Sufism, Islamic art and architecture, contemporary Islamic studies and other disciplines.
Iranian Studies: History of Iran, Persian literature, Iranian languages, art and architecture, ancient religions, anthropology, history of science in Iran, and translations of major Iranian works.
Application conditions:

Deadline for submitting applications: 22 October 2025.
