Senior Expert Associate for the Youth Sector of the Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports, Adnan Bektić, conducted a field visit on 4 November 2025 to the Association “My First Note” in Vareš, as part of the Action Plan of visits to the beneficiaries of approved funds, The purpose of the visit was to review documentation related to the implementation of the “Rock School and Rock Concert” project, which was supported by the Ministry through the Youth Transfer Fund in the amount of BAM 7,000.00.

The “Rock School and Rock Concert” project encompassed four interconnected activities that provided young people with opportunities for learning, creative expression, and active community participation.

During the three-day Rock School, held in natural setting near Vareš, young participants learned to play instruments and developed teamwork and technical skills with the support of mentors. The stay was concluded with a mini outdoor concert. The acquired knowledge was showcased at a public rock concert in the Summer Garden of the Public Institution Center for Culture and Education Vareš, where young musicians from various cities across Bosnia and Herzegovina performed, promoting tolerance, cooperation, and cultural diversity.

The project concluded with a workshop and roundtable discussion on the establishment of the Vareš Youth Council, where young people and representatives of local institutions jointly explored ways to strengthen youth participation and create lasting mechanisms for collaboration.

The “My First Note” Association successfully implemented the “Rock School and Rock Concert” project, which empowered young people from Vareš and surrounding communities through music, art, and education.
